Google India has unveild its year end India Zeitgeist (German for "the spirit of the times") for 2009 - a peep into what Indians searched the most on search engine Google through 2009.
Addressing privacy concerns, Google said in a statement, "Google Zeitgeist tools can never be used to identify individual users because we rely on anonymised, aggregated counts of how often certain search queries occur over time.
Google says it compiles the internet "Zeitgeist" through an exploration of the billions of search queries it receives every year. In addition to the year-end Zeitgeist, which highlights the top trends of 2009, we also have several tools that give insight into global, regional, past and present search trends.
The global economic downturn and local implications were clearly on India's mind as Budget 2009 and Satyam share price emerged as the fastest rising queries.
Connecting with friends continued to be top priority for Indians as social networking sites attracted significant interest on the mobile as well as the web. Young politicians such as Rahul Gandhi and Sachin Pilot were hailed as the new face of political leadership in the country.
With corporate woes and recession news, more people looked for ways to meditate and concentrate.
Romance scored over action, fantasy and drama - with Love Aaj Kal emerging as the most searched movie of the year.

An advergame is an amazingly innovative, beautifully-produced nightmare of a game. After "checking in" (giving the website your name, email and creating a password), you are immediately whisked away into the opening movie: your awakening, in the middle of the night, in your room at this hellish hotel. 
Built in 1970, and deserted some time after that, no one has entered the house since the entire family committed suicide due to reasons unknown. It’s a 15-minute game that is solely developed to scare the daylights out of you.
We begin with a warning: This game is not for the faint of heart or those under 18. Asylum 626 has a plot yanked straight from an R-rated horror movie, complete with the requisite blood, screaming and slashing inherent to the current scary movie style.
A short and creepy point-and-click escape-the-room game with some rather horrific graphic visuals nestled inside. In addition to the visual stimuli (from which you’re sure to get a jump or two) there is a bit of a narrative that unfolds as well. 
This is actually a remake of a Japanese haunted house thriller created by Takashi Shimizu, who also directed The Grudge. From Sony Pictures comes this Flash adventure online horror game.
